Eye Declare The Truth:
Well, Eye Declare! Everyone has probably heard of the story about Jonah and the whale. Well, you see ole Jonah, he got himself into a “whale” of a predicament, and it wasn’t anybody’s fault but his own.
The Lord had told Jonah to go and share the good news with the folks over in Nineveh. Jonah didn’t even like those people and he sure wasn’t willing to go share the gospel with them.
Instead, Jonah decides to take a cruise. He gets his ticket, jumps on the ship to sail the high seas. He begins to work on his tan, eat some fried fish, drink a Mai tai or two and watch the girls!
Well, maybe not all of that, but you know what I mean.
Just when it seems life couldn’t get any better for ole Jonah, it happens. That’s right, the storms of life come, the wind blows, and inevitably, the ship crashes!
Sin and disobedience seem to be pleasurable for a season, but, it always takes us farther than we are willing to go, cost us more than we are willing to pay, and keep us longer than we are willing to stay.
Eye Do Declare The Truth:
A few years ago I had my own Jonah experience. No, it wasn’t a ship, but a full-dressed Harley Davidson. It wasn’t in the belly of a whale but at the bottom of a road ditch.
I wasn’t drowning in rotten stinking fish guts, but, I was road-rashed, skint from head to toe and had two eyelids ripped completely off of my face. I know this sounds bad because it was.
Yet, it was God’s goodness that spits Jonah out of the belly of the whale, and it was God’s goodness that I had no eye damage! You see, even though both of my eye-lids were missing, I had 20-20 vision in that eye!!
Jonah went on to declare God’s goodness to the people of Nineveh. And, likewise when people ask what happened to my eye? I smile and declare the goodness of God too…better yet—Eye Declare!!
It is always better for us as believers and followers of Jesus Christ to obey His commands than it is to sacrifice. We usually suffer the consequences of that sacrifice. Life is full of choices. Take my advice…Don’t sacrifice!
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

Thanks for your story. It sounds unbelievable, but I know that you lived it. I’m glad that God has blessed you with the opportunity to reach others so that their Jonah experience will be a blessing as well.
Thank you Dave. Thank you for your comments. You seen me live out that bad trip. Most of our wounds in life are self-inflicted. But Gods Amazing Grace solidifies Romans 8:28!!
I pray He uses these little short stories to reach someone that needs to know God loves them no matter what they have been through or what they have done.
Thank you brother
Love ya man
Blessings y’all’s way!

Mike very good message . I have never met you that I recall but As I follow your posts I see a lot of your life and mine parallel . But Just as ole Jonah We all have the same things in life. To me blesseded is the one’s who can learn this at a early age, and miss so many corrections, or in our terms
(whippings), in our lives. Keep up the good works.
Thanks Ed. Yes I agree it would be much better if we learned earlier in life. But we usually think we know it all lol.
